This episode deals with Mark Fisher's book  The Weird and The Eerie, I'll play some of the  musical and literary references as well as  some works that I think express his idea that  there is something inherently eerie about the  acousmatic experience.

Weirding Module #5 - Dangerous Do Not Play  


In 2006 the researcher Thomas Knoefel found a 78 record at the Society for Psychical Research with the words "Dangerous, do not play" written on it. Its contents inspired a work by the artist Erik Bünger which forms the starting point for this edition.
